JON STEWART, responding to Rock Center host Brian Williams asking him if he’s been too “tough” on the protesters in his coverage of Occupy Wall Street.

Anyone who interprets the coverage of OWS on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report as mocking is kind of missing the point.  Besides the time Stewart told the Occupy protestor not to shit on a cop car, of course.

I personally don’t think Stewart’s been mocking the movement in any way at all.
